JAZZ TIMES MAGAZINE- Tony White, Blue Orchid BO2503
Reviewed by Hillarie Grey

Sick of the same old boring sax ballads? In a diverse self titled release Tony White delivers some of the most energetic and original horn based compositions to come around in quite some time. White handles various wind instruments with uncommon sensitivity to the roots of his arrangements. The sum of these efforts is simply a terrific debut that offers great hope for the horns.

RAPPORT MAGAZINE- Tony White, Blue Orchid BO2503- 4 stars

This impressive debut by sax man Tony White succeeds because every one of the 11 tracks has been designed for repeat play. They are unique, they span the musical spectrum, and all posses a warmth as well as an originality. It's one of those discs you'll enjoy over and over again. This one shouldn't be missed!
